The American Advertising Federation (AAF) hosts a National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) each year where students from hundreds of colleges get to make an entire marketing campaign for a high-end, real-world client. This year’s client was Meta Quest 2 (owned by Meta formerly Facebook). Our team created a marketing campaign with executions, slogan/tagline, research, graphics, ads, and internal deliverables aimed at selling the Meta Quest 2 VR headset to Gen Z college age students.
I acted as the Interactive Designer, having a hand in all aspects of the campaign. From research and marketing, to graphics and branding, promotional content and activations, to copywriting and overall strategy. I was known as the “VR expert” by members of the team, using my knowledge of the technology and its current societal reception to inform the strategy of the campaign. I also directed and produced a commercial of our planned music festival, it won 2 Gold Addy awards and is currently being judged on the national level.
